BITS Pilani Student Chapter

We are the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Student Chapter, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani (BITS-ACM). BITS ACM student chapter has 70 core team members and has nurtured more than 650 alumni since its inception in 2008.

The objective of the chapter to promote computer science as field of education and foster a sense of innovation and creativity among computer enthusiasts. Alumni of the chapter have gone on to conduct research at top universities and create successful companies.
ACM's Special Interest Groups (SIGs) represent major areas of computing, addressing the interests of technical communities that drive innovation. SIGs offer a wealth of conferences and activities focused on specific computing sub-disciplines. They enable members to share expertise, discovery and best practices. Some of the SIGs which ACM has successfully conducted are: Web development, App development, UNIX, Python, Machine learning, cyber security,etc.
BITS ACM strives to innovate and promote technical activities and build an engaging coding environment in fields like competitive programming or development. We organize events and shares sessions from Alumni, coders, hackers, and mentors. Sessions are held by professionals, club mentors, club members by inviting individuals from outside or within the club.
